Back from the Graveyard

Remember that one time I wrote about that one graphic t-shirt that I would've purchased were it not for the exorbitant price? You thought maybe it was a one-time-whiny deal, but that's underestimating my ability to desire the clothes that are gleefully out of my price range.

And with that, I randomly bring back...

Graveyard of Stuff I'd Like to Buy Were My Wallet More Accommodated for the Exorbitant Price:

I grew wide-eyed at this leopard print sweater from Topshop. I never bought anything from Topshop before, and now I'm reminded why. This baby is priced at $90. $90 for a "Knitted camel short chunky animal jacquard jumper," according to their site's description. Calling it a "chunky animal jumper" makes it sound like you've skinned a very overweight leopard to make this sweater. For shame, Topshop, for shame. And what the flying balls is a "jacquard?" Whatever it is, I know I think I want it. Damn.

Zara's yet another place where I've heard about but never had the pleasure of shopping before. I never really gave it much thought until I was talking to someone who said she was a big fan of their clothing, so one late night later, I decided to check it out. I came upon this lovely in the sale section (I almost always make a beeline for the sales first), priced at $50. Hm, not too bad. This is only a mild case of ranting, but I normally wouldn't pay $50 for a blazer, no matter how amazingly rich the velveteen color looks and how awesomely placed the elbow pads are. That's what really got me: the elbow pads. Like porn for a history professor's closet.

Available here, here and probably at a lot of other places, I've been coveting and following this boot more than Stephen Colbert covets and follows me. If you don't get the reference/didn't bother clicking on the link (which I encourage, because Colbert is Co-God), I basically considered this boot to be My Dream Boot. At any source I found, these pair of boots price at nearly $300, which is a hefty, hefty, hefty price. Once it nearly came within my grasp when I was at Urban Outfitters, only to be available in a size 9. It's like I was the opposite Cinderella, if Cinderella was into this kinda stuff.

Anything you want to randomly rant about? Think of the comment section as a virtual couch you can lie on and talk about it. I promise there are cushions. Virtual cushions.

Disclaimer: Mind you, even though I rant about not having this or not having that, I know I don't really need them. Plus, it's fun to make fun of things, mainly myself. And who doesn't want to see that mildly entertaining freak show?

Zara is great but it can be expensive. I only buy things there when they have sales. They can have some awesome sales! I would love to buy at Topshop but it is just too pricey for me:(

Love your blog, only just found it. It and you are so cute.
I used to work in Topshop Oxford Circus (the main store in London) and the description for half of the things in there made no sense.

I have a graveyard of stuff like this too. But somehow I've managed to fill it with REALLY expensive things that I can't afford (like Marchesa dresses). But that blazer is super adorable and quite a good price for a blaze. I say go for it!
