Paint it Black

alternative text
I'm attempting a nonchalant "oh what, me?" look while tugging on my shoe; instead, I make a disgruntled egghead. Seriously, since when was my head that oblong?

FUN FACT. I actually had another outfit planned for today, but when I fell out of bed, I didn't ... feel like that outfit anymore. Y'know what I mean? Please tell me you know what I mean. I mean, I'd like to think she would get what I sorta mean, because I was reminded of it earlier. Isn't "mean" a funny word when you say it over and over? Mean. Mean. Meeeean. Mean. Nonsensical, sleep-deprived ramblings aside, the main reason was that I wasn't feeling so hot (to put it kindly) when I woke up. So in consolation, I wrapped myself in black, with one white, pleated punctuation.

And of course, the obligatory music post. I couldn't very well quote a song without posting it, dear GOD man!

OK fine, that wasn't so fun of a fact. It was slightly bemusing at best. Uh, uhmmm-- FUN FACT. Did you know that Lincoln totally fought vampires? It's true.

Oh, crap. My face was cut off. Ouch. Let's try that again.

I meant to show how wondrously blue the sky was, but my cell phone really doesn't do it justice.

What's Lovely for March 3, 2010: Slice of sunshine right at my feet.

PS: What the whaaaat-- 45 followers??? Thank you all so so much, especially for the comments you generously leave here! As grateful as I am, it also got me thinking. Christina's recent post talked about the WHY behind blogging (you should really read it too, it's wonderful psychobabble). Why do we do it? Does it validate ourselves? Are we all just that vain, the kind that Carly Simon sang about? Anyway, this is easily becoming something resembling a full-on rant. Long story short, I really love what I have here. It's like a diary, only something I can share with everyone. The only thing missing is the symbolically embarrassing confession of who my crush is, complete with doodled hearts. Or am I the only one who did that in 5th grade?
What are your two cents? Or you can give a dime, that's cool too.

I just love your "what's lovely for today", it always puts a smile on my face :) I've also been thinking about the "why" of blogging and I haven't really found an answer yet other than...it's fun! and maybe we don't need any reason beyond that.
btw, i DID do the double-wing eyeliner and it was awesome and i'm gonna post it soon! hahaha

I have those days all the time, where I feel one outfit the day before and then wake up and just switch everything round. Shows how much a feeling changes how we present ourselves, hey?

Love your ramblings and fun fact about Lincoln...blogging is fun, its good to share, makes a community :)

Where to begin?
I would take an egghead over a soccer ball any day!
I often change my outfit like that. My problem is that the me in my head sometimes morphs into someone prettier when planning an outfit. This leads to great disappointment when I actually look in the mirror. Or maybe there is something wrong with my mirror? I can only hope…
Your slice of sunshine seems kind of biblical. You didn’t hear any voices?
And finally thank you for your lovely comment on my blog.

I read her post too and I totally feel the same way! IT does feel sort of vain but that wasn't initial purpose. NOw I do it because I love it! And I love the friends I've met and I love learning new things and new ways to remix what I halready have.

I know what you mean I do it all the time and because I cannot think of an outfit to wear I end up with a mass of clothes on my bed.

Ah well the things we do for outfits.
